Un-Resolution...

Dreamscape

The new year is like a clean sheet of paper...

Pure, clean, full of possibilities...

It's the perfect time for a fresh start, for letting go of the old and releasing new goals, wants and desires into the universe...

I always like to think about what I want for the new year,  what I want to work on, to accomplish...

To be...

But not this year...

This year I am going to take some time...

Let the stillness of winter wash through me like ice water slides down a parched and fevered throat...

Rather than call the energy to me and shape it into my intentions for the next year, I'm going to let it wash over and through me carrying away a lifetime of accumulated debris...

Leaving every cell clean, and refreshed...

And strong...

I'll let it settle around me in a swirl of bright white...  Incubation without form...

And then...  Maybe in the spring...

I'll take another look and see what I have created...

And determine where to go from there...

  1. Jesus Christ almighty, but this stop-start blog of yours has driven me bleedin nuts for the past while.

Yeah, yeah, I know, BWO, an' all that malarkey, but like, you do know KT, I'm relying on you for deep thoughts, and stuff.

That said, I've always loved your writings, esp. the oft abstract nature of them, your geekiness, and you do take a mean photo too, as does your pal, whatshername, AJ, whose Colours World blog [check spelling] and flicker feed I also, now and then, stalk; I mean, you know, like watch.

  2. Oooh, Ronan! I didn't know you stalked me! I'm so flattered... :)

And yeah, Karen...how about you resolve to write more often eh? (Me loves it and if you do, I will too.)

I'm not making any resolutions just yet either, letting the energy flow. I think it was quite a magical solstice and that is, in part at least, why. That and I don't like rules and resolutions sort of feel that way when they're all specific to the new year...er, well, I get suspicious of them anyways.

I can hardly wait until Spring...but at least there's plenty to do until then. :)

  3. Ronan!! - I've missed you sweets! How have you been? I know I know... It's been a tough year, work-wise... But it ended well (finally)... I pop in to the other place from time to time... I miss everyone... but it's so... :p you know?

Anyway, I've had a little bit of time at home and finally decided to get the place up and running again... I've missed the blogging... I'm so glad you found me here :)

  4. Anjolie - I didn't even have time to deal with it then... I had to wait for New Year's Day to finally have a bit of time to take a step back...

And you're right... We both need to UN-resolve to write more... I'll be watching for your spinning stars... :*

  5. Yes Anjolie, your phantom stalker has been revealed. I can put my cape away now I suppose, though had it laundered only last week - that's the shame of it really - and fits so bleedin' beautifully it does. Had it tailor-made, you know. Saville Row, an' all!!

Came upon you both [here and in Colours] simply through blogspot links from folks who used blog 'over there yonder.' In that place that fears like Wilde to speak its name.

And since you both were excellent writers with unique styles I read the both of you silently here in these new places.

Love the flicker feeds too I do.

Damn KT, but you've got a shot of an ominous looking Miami that is simply beautiful.

And Anjolie, you've a snowy shot from inside a car looking out on a two-lane highway with mountains rising to the side that's just plain eerie. To my fragile mind anyway.

Happy New Year to all and best of luck with the un-resolutions.

And glad I am, if I may say, to've revealed myself to you both.

Okay now please, let me just rephrase that last sentence...

  6. @Ronan
I'm so glad you did... er... reveal yourself... :D

I hope to hear from you often :)

If there are any others of the 'old school' that you know of, please let me know those as well...

  7. Ha ha. Thank you, KT.

    Shall do, indeed.

Have not the old school mostly retired. Or moved to Florida. I don't think they blog on blogspot much more. There's new kids on the block now, Marky Mark, and the like.
